From LifeDate - Fall 2004.

LFL . . . on the road!

Taking the For Life message on the road, Lutherans For Life traveled to a number of national conventions in the summer of 2004 including:

  • Church of the Lutheran Brethren, Moorhead, Minnesota

  • Association of Free Lutheran Congregations, Osceola, Wisconsin

  • American Association of Lutheran Churches, St. Paul, Minnesota

  • National Right to Life Convention, Arlington, Virginia

  • LCMS Black Family Convocation, St. Louis

  • LCMS National Convention, St. Louis

  • International Lutheran Laymen’s League, Rapid City, South Dakota

  • National LCMS Youth Gathering, Orlando, Florida

  • Higher Things National Lutheran Youth Conference, Seattle, Washington

  • Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ Convention, Fargo, North Dakota (in October)

Conventions “are great opportunities to let people know about LFL but more importantly to bring people to a better understanding of the unique message we share on the life issues and to encourage them to get involved and take action within their own spheres of influence. We are thankful for the many volunteers across the country who help set up and staff these displays when we are not able to be there,” said Dr. James I. Lamb, LFL Executive Director.

National LFL President, Diane Schroeder of Lombard, Illinois, visits with fellow board member Rod Rathmann of St.Louis, Missouri, at LFL’s display at the LCMS National Convention.

Dr. James I. Lamb was interviewed by Rev. Todd Wilken of Issues, Etc. on KFUO while at the LCMS Convention
A well-received
new edition to the Lutherans For Life display this year was the Window to the Womb banners showing the development of an unborn baby from seven to 20 weeks.

“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” Jesus
