Linda Bartlett is the wife of Paul, the mother of two sons and two daughter-in-laws, and the grandmother of three grandsons. Linda is a homemaker, writer, and national speaker. She has been involved in the ministry of Lutherans For Life (LFL) on the local, state, and national levels since 1981. She served on the national board of LFL for 18 years, nine of those years as president. In 2004, Linda stepped down from the role of President of LFL to begin service as Director of Outreach for Word of Hope, LFL’s abortion healing ministry (888-217-8679 and www.word-of-hope.org). Linda also started Titus 2 for Life, a ministry model that mentors Biblical manhood and womanhood through retreats, training events, and the website www.titus2-4life.org. Linda is the co-founder of the Lighthouse Center of Hope, a caring pregnancy center in Iowa Falls, Iowa, and serves as president of its board of directors. Linda is the author of Men, Women, and Relationships, Into His Loving Care, and Generations of Hope for Generations to Come. She appears regularly on Christian radio.

BACKGROUND:

Although Linda was preparing for a career in interior design, God had a different plan.  In 1981, she helped start a local chapter of LFL. In 1985, she co-founded LFL of Iowa and served as its first president for nine years. During that time, she organized a series of Young Mom Retreats for unwed mothers. In 1997, she initiated the Campus Life Project of LFL. Linda served on the national board of LFL for 18 years, nine of those years as president.

Linda has authored Bible studies, curricula, and booklets for both Concordia Publishing House and LFL. They include From Heartache to Healing, Men, Women and Relationships, Dare to Choose, and Into His Loving Care. She was the editor of Living magazine for 14 years and continues to edit Iowa Voices For Life.

For many years, Linda designed Christian greeting cards and resources for her “cottage” ministry called Paper Treasures. She served on the Sanctity of Life Task Force of The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod for the ten years of its existence and on the boards of Lutheran Family Service of Iowa and the Iowa East Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.

Linda served as youth counselor, servant event coordinator, and high school Bible class teacher in her home congregation of Immanuel Lutheran in Iowa Falls, Iowa, where she continues to lead home Bible studies.

“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” Jesus
