North Dakota Lutherans For Life Box 1513 Fargo, ND 58107-1513 Jolene Richardson, President E-mail Jolene Richardson (LCMS) became involved in life issues as a result of the Lutherans for Life organization and has served on the state board. In addition to those activities, Jolene is Assistant Director of Continuing Studies at Minnesota State University Moorhead (Minnesota). She is a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Fargo where she is active in Christian education and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.

North Dakota Lutherans for Life Report March 24, 2008 Board members of North Dakota Lutherans for Life have been busy promoting life in their communities. The stem cell DVD was shown in Cooperstown this fall. The Touch Babies and other LFL materials were part of a health fair booth at the Martin Luther Elementary School in Bismarck. A Life Sunday was held at Triumph Lutheran Brethren Church in Moorhead, Minnesota, discussing end of life issues―hospice and Christian Durable Power of Attorney. Another board member has become involved in a crisis pregnancy center in rural western North Dakota. Her pastor and church have become interested in the project, so she isn’t feeling quite as alone in her pro-life efforts. Lutherans for Life also presented at the LWML meeting on February 16 at Grace Lutheran Church in Fargo. The Fargo/Moorhead Chapter held a Dessert Banquet on the first Sunday in November. Betty McGuire was the speaker. On February 9, a conference call meeting was held. This was found to be an effective way to meet in the winter, since the blowing snow didn’t hinder attendance. Plans are to try to get our display set up at Lutheran assemblies across the state as possible. (Examples: Eastern ELCA Synod Assembly and the Missouri Synod LWML Convention.) Bismarck will be hosting a showing of the stem cell DVD in April.
