Rev. Luke Timm has served as a pastor in the LCMS for approximately 10 years and has been married to Joni for 12 years. They have six children ages two months to nine years. Their entire marriage they knew that they wanted to pursue adoption but the timing hadn’t worked and the Lord hadn’t made a way. After three uneventful pregnancies and births Luke and Joni were moved to again consider adding to their family. Just as they were in prayer considering adoption, they heard about embryo adoption. Intrigued, and led by God, they pursued this option and adopted four embryos. Two survived the thaw and were transferred. Then, against the odds, one split and all three implanted! Nine months later two boys and a girl joined their family to make an even 3 and 3 ratio of boys to girls!
